extracted from a notebook that was already coming apart when I found it

Links are about 2 inches long by 1 inch wide

and think the wonderful Scherenschnitte cut paper decoupage on the lid is either New England or Pennsylvania in origin

Driftwood Waving Man clock face Partially filled ledger page withI found this one in downeast Maine along with the rusty chains I just listed, and it struck me as looking like a figure waving, or perhaps signaling for help! I'm not sure how he came to be, but would guess he is a fragment of what was once a larger piece, staked at some point to something! 7 5 8" t x 4 3 8" w x 1 1 2" d.
