NV Christoph Hoch Weiss R (Hollenburger Riesling), Niederosterreich, Austria Plageoles Fermentation is spontaneous with aLike all of Hoch's wines, the goal is to "bottle nature"; fermentations are spontaneous, no sugar or enzymes are added, only a low amount of sulfur at bottling. All fermentation and aging happens in neutral French oak barrels. This is a blend of three vintages. The Riesling is grown on the Hollenburger conglomerate soil, which is a limestone rich Alpine formation. This riesling is pure and intense, with racy acidity, tangy citrus fruits, and mineral.
