Larry tells us this Sabal palmetto was planted around 1980, and survived the mega death winter of 1984 85 in NC. Larry's palm was grown from seed he collected years earlier from a Sabal palmetto at a motel in Fayetteville, NC, which also still survives. The broad fronds are less
